Louvain
Leuven is actually more of a large village than a city. It seems like everyone knows each other. It is of course also the Belgian student city par excellence. The oldest university in Belgium is located here.
Leuven also has a great history as a beer city. You can still visit the Stella Artois brewery (now InBev).
Leuven is a perfect melting pot of old and new. Not only in terms of the population, it is also visible in the old commercial buildings and guild houses, where trendy cafes and special concept restaurants are located today.

Louvain in brief
De Oude Markt wordt ook wel “de langste toog van Europa” genoemd. In bijna elk oud gildehuis kan je iets eten of drinken in één van de talloze bars en brasseries. Het plein, dat mooi bewaard is gebleven, is echter ook een bezoek waard voor zijn historische uitzicht. Wil je het gedruis van deze bruisende stad even ontsnappen, dan moet je naar het Sint-Donatuspark (het Stadspark), de Dijleterrassen en het Dijlepark. Kortom, ideaal voor wie natuur, cultuur en gastronomie wil combineren.
