Louvain
Leuven is actually more of a large village than a city. It seems like everyone knows each other. It is of course also the Belgian student city par excellence. The oldest university in Belgium is located here.
Leuven also has a great history as a beer city. You can still visit the Stella Artois brewery (now InBev).
Leuven is a perfect melting pot of old and new. Not only in terms of the population, it is also visible in the old commercial buildings and guild houses, where today hip cafes and special concept restaurants are located.

L'Oude Markt est aussi appelé "le bar le plus long d'Europe". Dans presque toutes les anciennes maisons de guilde, vous pouvez manger ou boire quelque chose dans l'un des innombrables bars et brasseries.
Cependant, la place qui a été bien conservée, vaut également le détour pour son histoire. Et si vous voulez échapper un moment à l'agitation de cette ville animée, vous devriez vous rendre au Sint-Donatuspark (le parc municipal), au Dijleterrassen et au Dijlepark.
Bref, idéal pour ceux qui veulent allier nature, culture et gastronomie.
