Mechelen has undergone a real metamorphosis in recent years. When it got a new mayor in 2001, it changed from a marginal town to a topper among the Flemish art cities. Every year more residents and visitors find their way to the city.

Malines est en fait un grand quartier, avec le Grote Markt comme point central historique. Cette grande place centrale est dominée par l'impressionnante Tour St Rumbold. La passerelle sur la tour de 97 m de haut et la montée vers celle-ci garantissent une expérience mémorable.
